The Greater Bethesda area is more than 30 square miles, with five Metro Stations on the Red Line and is the largest employment center in Montgomery County.
Location: Bethesda Business District, located within 10 miles of the U.S. Capitol, borders the District of Columbia on the south, the Potomac River on the west, Rock Creek Park on the east, and stretches north almost into the city of Rockville.
Marketplace: Bethesda is the leading global center of healing and the home of numerous major federal complexes: National Naval Medical Center, the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences, National Institutes of Health and National Library of Medicine, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Consumer Product Safety Commission, Rock Creek and Glen Echo Parks. It is also the home of many research and development firms offering economic, marketing and scientific research and private sector corporate headquarters: Marriott Corporation, the Lockheed Martin Corporation, GEICO, and COMSAT.
